Singing Soul

“If you want the truth, I’ll tell you the truth:
Listen to the secret sound, the real sound, which is inside you.
The one no one talks of speaks the secret sound to himself,
and he is the one who has made it all.”

Kabir

Freedom Through Singing Your Soul’s Song

Would you love to be free to be who you are? Singing with the intention of freeing your soul has the potential to bring about the transformation of being more of who you really are. Most of us walk around clothed in false identities. We think we are who the world thinks we are. What if we allowed our innermost self to reveal to us our true identity? Singing out the song of your soul can do this for you! Your very own voice has the capacity to allow your authentic self to be revealed. Your own voice is the door into the deepest parts of your being. To know and love this part of your self, your essence, is true freedom.

I set foot on this path of discovery in 2006. I met Chloe Goodchild, the founder of The Naked Voice, and began my journey with my real sound, the sound inside myself. As I allowed my self to open to the wisdom within my very own soul I experienced a sense of peace, a sense of self acceptance that I was experiencing for the first time in my life. With the acceptance of who I am on the inside, at a soul level, I began to love myself into wholeness. This loving rippled out to every being I came in contact with. It was as if I was falling in love with the world and everyone and everything in it and beyond it. I realized I am love. You are love.

We are love.

The Singing Your Soul Practices

By practicing the Sounds of Love, a vocal practice using the Indian Scale, you can open up to a new way of loving. This practice accesses the chakras, or energy centers of the body, as a source of self discovery. From root to crown, these different centers of consciousness inform the sounder.

Using the Seven Petalled Lotus Mantra, and The Heart Sutra in your practice you can begin to strengthen your sense of connectedness and groundedness with all of life.
